Would you believe there are 100's of scooter clubs and scooter rallies held throughout the year in Indonesia? Yes, it's true, however, the scootering subculture in Indonesia is quite different to the UK scooter scene. As you'll see it's a little bit "Mad Max" - perhaps a very extreme version of the UK scooter boys...
At a typical scooter rally in Indonesia, beer and 'arak' will flow throughout the day, people will dance to Bob Marley (who is the favourite artist of scooter boys) while they parade around proudly showing off their scooters - and some will pass out in the mid day heat...in fact not too different from a rally in the UK!

Busser is quite a unique scooter club. There are more than 50 members and they are all art students at the University of Education Indonesia in Bandung. The Busser scooters are a "Mobile Gallery" - displaying works of art on the back of their scooters to show off to the public their art.
Members of Busser will also decorate themselves in the 'batik' fabric when they leave on a convoy. The 'batik' cloth is a characteristic of the Indonesian nation and by wearing it the scooter club display their national heritage.
